IBS & Gut Health — 100% Private

Your gut keeps secrets.
Tumly doesn't.

Log a meal with a photo. Tap once during a flare. Find a toilet fast. Tumly's AI finds which foods hurt you — and turns it into a report your GI doctor will actually read.

Designed for real life with IBS

Most gut apps make you type everything while you feel awful. This one doesn't.

1

Snap to Log

Photo-first meal logging — snap a photo and AI extracts the meal. No typing required when you feel fine or when you don't.

2

Tap During a Flare

One tap opens Flare Mode. Guided breathing, heat-pad timer, cramp-relief positions — ranked by what works for you.

3

AI Finds Triggers

Statistical correlation over your meals and symptoms finds which foods reliably cause problems — patterns unique to you.

4

Show Your Doctor

Generate a structured report with your symptom timeline, trigger correlations, and food diary your GI will actually read.

Built for the moments that actually hurt

Every feature exists because IBS doesn't let you plan ahead — it hits when you're out, in a meeting, or mid-meal.

Flare Mode Relief Toolkit

When a flare hits: guided gut-directed breathing, a heat-pad timer with Live Activity, and illustrated cramp-relief positions. Ranked by what works for you.

Find a Toilet Fast

Offline maps in 13 countries. Worldwide online search everywhere else. Distance, direction, and a high-contrast "I need a restroom now" card. No account, location stays on device.

Photo Meal Log

Snap a photo of your meal and AI extracts the ingredients automatically. Track meals the way you actually eat them — quickly and without a keyboard.

AI Trigger Detective Premium

Statistical analysis over your food and symptom log finds which meals, ingredients, and combinations reliably trigger your IBS. Patterns, not assumptions.

FODMAP Guidance

Search any food for its FODMAP rating and portion thresholds. Understand what you can eat — including safe amounts of medium-FODMAP foods.

Know When It's Not IBS

Red-flag symptom detection for blood, mucus, unexplained weight loss, or patterns that warrant a GP appointment. Dignity first, never alarmist.

Doctor Report Premium

A structured appointment report with your symptom timeline, trigger correlations, and food diary. Formatted for a GI consultation, not a spreadsheet export.

Patterns & Insights

Calendar heatmap, symptom frequency trends, top trigger foods, and flare-time analysis. A calming dashboard that shows progress, not just problems.

Ask Tumly Premium

Conversational AI that answers questions about your own data. "What did I eat before my worst flares?" or "Is gluten or dairy more likely my trigger?"

Common questions

Is my gut health data truly private?
Yes. All symptom and meal data is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, and no data sharing. AI analysis (opt-in) uses only anonymized, temporary snapshots that are not stored on our servers.
Does the toilet finder work offline?
Yes — offline maps are pre-loaded for 13 countries: US, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Japan, Australia, Canada, Portugal, Brazil, and India. In all other countries, it falls back to worldwide online search. Location data stays on your device.
How does AI trigger detection work?
Tumly's AI correlates your meals, symptoms, stress levels, and sleep data to find statistically significant patterns unique to you — not generic FODMAP advice. "Pizza 3x in the 12 hours before a flare" is far more useful than "limit lactose." AI is opt-in and requires explicit consent.
Do I need to type everything I eat?
No. Photo meal logging lets you snap a photo and AI extracts the meal. You can add detail or confirm ingredients later — or just leave the photo log as-is for quick tracking.
Is this a medical app? Can it diagnose IBS?
Tumly is a personal tracking and pattern-finding tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose IBS or any other condition. AI-powered insights show correlations in your own data — patterns, not medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for diagnosis and treatment.
What does the Doctor Report include?
The Doctor Report (Premium) generates a structured summary with your symptom frequency timeline, top trigger correlations, food diary snapshot, and AI-written clinical notes. It's formatted for a GI consultation, not a data dump.
