Built around the features mileage tracker reviews actually ask for β€” and stripped of the gimmicks that drive up competitors’ prices.

πŸ—ΊοΈ

Unlimited logging, free forever

No 40-drive cap, no 30-trip limit. Log as many trips as you drive β€” this month, every month, forever. Manual start/stop with a live map and one big button.

πŸ‘ˆ

Swipe to classify

Swipe right for business, left for personal. The gesture MileIQ users love most β€” now in an app that doesn’t hold your data hostage. Five buckets: business, personal, medical, charity, commute.

πŸ’°

Live deduction as you drive

Every trip shows a live deduction total the moment you classify it, computed from the current IRS mileage rate β€” including the 2026 mid-year change (72.5¢/mi Jan–Jun, 76¢/mi Jul–Dec), resolved by your trip’s actual date.

πŸ“„

IRS-ready PDF reports

One-tap IRS-formatted PDF report for tax season (Premium). Raw CSV export of every trip you’ve ever logged is free forever — no subscription required, no paywall, ever.

πŸš—

Auto drive detection

Turn it on and Milefox recognizes when you start driving and logs the trip automatically for you to swipe-classify. No more forgetting to hit record. Manual always works too.

πŸ”§

Fix missed drives in seconds

Add a trip manually with address-to-address autofill. Type where you started and ended, Milefox calculates the miles. The #1 complaint in this category — solved.

🏎️

Odometer log, multi-vehicle

Track year-start/year-end and any-time odometer readings per vehicle — the IRS compliance field most trackers skip. Built-in sanity check: “odometer says you may be missing ~120 mi this month.”

⌚

Watch, widgets & Shortcuts

Start and stop recording from your Apple Watch. Live miles and live $ on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Start recording automatically when you connect to CarPlay or Bluetooth.

☁️

Optional iCloud sync

Turn on private iCloud sync in Settings to keep trips in step across your own devices. Off by default, and fully functional with it off — sync is a convenience, never a requirement.

MileIQ went from $60 to $168 a year.
Milefox doesn’t do that.

The same idea — IRS mileage tracking — at an honest price, with no free-tier trip cap and no report ransom. See the numbers.

Your trips never leave your iPhone.

No accounts, no cloud, no data sharing. Milefox is built on the principle that a tracker’s credibility rests on precision — not on having your data.

Trip data is stored locally on your iPhone. No account, no sync by default — your miles never touch a server.

Straight answers.

Is manual logging really free forever?

Yes. Log as many trips as you drive — this month, every month, forever. No 40-drive cap, no 30-trip limit, no “upgrade to log more.” Manual start/stop with a live map and one big button. Raw CSV export is also free forever.

What does Premium unlock?

$29.99/yr or $69.99 lifetime. Premium unlocks auto drive detection, one-tap IRS-formatted PDF reports, Apple Watch companion, Live Activities on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, Shortcuts automation, and optional iCloud sync. Manual logging and CSV export are unchanged and never paywalled.

Can I get my data back if I cancel?

Always. Raw CSV export is free forever, subscription or not. Nothing you’ve already generated is locked retroactively if a subscription lapses. Your miles are never held hostage.

Which IRS mileage rate does Milefox use?

The current IRS standard mileage rate, resolved by trip date — including mid-year rate changes. For 2026: 72.5¢/mi Jan–Jun, 76¢/mi Jul–Dec for business miles. The rate basis is shown under every dollar figure so you can verify it.

Does Milefox give tax advice?

Milefox logs your miles and produces IRS-formatted PDF reports — it doesn’t give tax advice. Confirm your deductions with a tax professional. “IRS-ready” describes the report format, not a guarantee of your tax outcome.
