Questions, answered.
How do you play FlipSay?
One player records a phrase. FlipSay reverses the audio so it sounds like alien gibberish. Another player listens and tries to mimic the gibberish out loud. The app flips their attempt back to forward speech and scores how close it landed: word accuracy, a speed bonus, and a crowd vote in bigger groups.
What are Reaction Clips? Is my camera always on?
Reaction Clips film the mimic moment so you can share the laugh. The feature is off by default. You enable it with the camera toggle, a red REC pill is visible the whole time it films, and tapping REC stops it instantly. Clips are saved on your iPhone only, and nothing is uploaded anywhere unless you choose to share a clip yourself.
Does FlipSay work offline?
Yes. Recording, reversing, mimicking and scoring all run on your iPhone. No account, no sign-up, no internet needed to play. Scoring uses Apple's on-device speech recognition where available.
Is FlipSay free?
Free to play, supported by ads shown between games, never in the middle of a round. A one-time in-app purchase removes ads forever. No subscription.
What languages does FlipSay support?
The app and phrase packs are localized in English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese. Since custom phrases are your own voice, the gibberish works in any language you can speak.
