Someone got
a different word.

Find them.

Pass the phone, get your secret word, then talk your way around it — or bluff your way to victory. Fresh word packs every week, four ways to play.

Four ways to play
🤫
Mr White
The imposter gets no word at all. Pure bluffing, no safety net — listen hard and mirror the room.
🐺
Double Imposter
Two imposters — they don't know each other. They must bluff independently while secretly trying to find their partner before the vote.
👨‍👩‍👧
Family
Age-appropriate word sets and gentler gameplay. The whole table — from kids to grandparents — can play without awkward words.

One phone. No setup. Start in seconds.

No accounts, no downloads for each player, no QR codes. The dealer holds the phone — everyone else leans in.

1

Pick Your Pack

Choose from weekly fresh packs or classics across 12 categories — Food, Movies, Sports, Travel, Animals, and more.

2

Pass & Peek

Each player taps "Show My Word", peeks at their word, then passes the phone face-down. One player gets a different word.

3

Discuss & Bluff

Everyone takes turns describing the word — without saying it. The imposter must fake it without being caught.

4

Vote

At time, players vote for who they think is the imposter. A correct vote wins for the group. A wrong vote gives the imposter the victory.

Built for game night, not the App Store

Every design decision is for the moment you're actually in — phone in hand, five friends staring at you.

📦

Weekly Word Packs Sub

A new themed pack drops every week. The content cadence is the reason to open the app at Friday's party rather than reaching for a different game.

🎲

12 Pack Categories

Food & Drink, Movies & TV, Sports, Animals, Travel, History, Science, Music, Pop Culture, Nature, Jobs, and Random. A category for every group's comfort zone.

Built-in Discussion Timer

Set a round timer — the app keeps everyone honest. Timer runs in the background with a Live Activity so you never break the game to check the phone.

👁

Peek-Proof Role Reveal

Each player taps their screen to reveal privately. The role card dims automatically after 5 seconds. The person next to you can't sneak a look.

🏆

Score Tracking

Running game score across rounds — imposter wins, group wins, longest bluff. Bragging rights across the whole night, not just one round.

👨‍👩‍👧

Family Mode Packs

Age-appropriate word sets and a gentler discussion format. No awkward words at the holiday table. Kids and grandparents play the same round.

📴

Fully Offline

No internet during play. No server, no multiplayer infrastructure, no latency. One phone, fully local — works in a basement, on a plane, at the cabin.

🎨

Custom Word Packs

Build your own word set — inside jokes, work jargon, wedding guests, your team's niche. Your custom packs stay private on your device.

Common questions

How many players does Bluffr need?
3 to 15 players. You only need one phone — the dealer holds it and passes it around for role reveals. 5–8 players is the sweet spot; fewer than 5 makes the imposter too obvious, more than 12 slows down the discussion round.
What's the difference between Classic, Mr White, and Double Imposter?
Classic: one player gets a related but different word — they must discuss without revealing they're lost. Mr White: the imposter gets no word at all and has to bluff from scratch. Double Imposter: two imposters who don't know each other — must independently find their partner while staying hidden. All three use the same core mechanic; the modes just shift how much information the imposter has.
Do you need Wi-Fi or accounts to play?
No internet during play, and no accounts ever. The app is fully offline once downloaded. No servers, no multiplayer infrastructure, no latency — one phone, all local. Works on a plane, in a basement, at the cabin.
What are weekly word packs?
Subscribers get a new themed word pack every week across 12 category tracks — Food & Drink, Movies, Sports, Animals, and more. New packs appear automatically in the app; no update required. The pack library grows permanently, so the longer you subscribe the more options you have.
Can I create my own word packs?
Yes — subscribers can build custom word sets from scratch. Inside jokes, wedding guest names, work jargon, your friend group's niche. Custom packs stay private on your device and never leave it.
Is Family Mode appropriate for young children?
Family Mode uses age-appropriate words (animals, foods, objects, simple concepts) and removes the blunter social deduction words from the standard packs. It's designed for mixed-age tables — kids 7+ can play the same round as adults without awkward words coming up.
